Further rainfall is expected to push across the US Midwest over the next few days. A few of the punters see this as negative for corn and soybeans as it may create some planting delays but generally speaking this early in the season it is simply adding more moisture to an already very wet profile for both the summer crops and most of the winter wheat crops.
The spring wheat belt stretching across the Dakotas and up into Saskatchewan is expected to see the lower levels of rain out of this change allowing for spring wheat sowing to progress and potentially finish up in quiet a few places.
The mild start to the season in the US has already seen some punters predict a poor quality wheat crop this year. Not that this proved to translate into better spreads for us here last season (sarcasm intended) but it is probably worth keeping an eye on as the season unfolds in the northern hemisphere.

Global feed grains may see some assistance from news the French corn crop area is the smallest sown in 25 years. The French crop is small in comparison with the giant acres across the US and S.American,  so is more likely to assist local EU feed S&Ds.  Weather across much of Russia and the Ukraine continues to be favourable for crop development.
